I currently own a MK1 Focus, 1.8 TDCI 2004. I bought this car less than a month ago for £1,000. I was just browsing the used car websites out of interest to see roughly how much they are worth. I stumbled across a really nice looking 2003 Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec for sale for £1,750 from a trader. The car I was looking at had ST170 alloys, three

I have a problem with the sensor on the high pressure fuel pump. It has been diagnosed that the sensor on the pump is faulty and keeps cutting out. There does not appear to be a replacement part for this

So last night the battery warning light came on while I was driving (cold, dark, main beams and heated windscreen on). The car behaved perfectly normally, other than the main beams slightly dimmer when off-throttle
Ford Year: 2009. UK/Ireland Location: Devon. Posted February 19, 2014. Hello all, I own a 2009 Ford Focus 1.8 tdci. Full service history, and with below average miles, it's always been well looked after and never "ragged." Yesterday it was serviced, and had a full clean bill of health. The only thing that was mentioned was "damage to glow plug
An update from me also (Focus 1.8 TDCi, 2009, 146k miles). Less than 1000 miles after getting injectors 1 & 2 replaced, I got another glitch and limp mode (again after about 40 miles) which was cured by restarting engine.

Ciano35. My 2003 focus 1.8 tdci 115 is going into limp mode at high revs when using the turbo. Sometimes it would feel like there is no power at all throughout the rev range, especially in low down gears, and other times it would have good enough power and go into limp mode at around 3400 revs. Now the veins and actuator seem to be fine, I just
Hi guys, I'm trying to diagnose an issue with a 2008 Focus 1.8TDCI. The problem is that after a while of driving, and at completely random intervals, the car will completely lose power among a bevy of dashboard warning lights and messages.
Hi Guys. I have a 2004 Focus 1.8TDCI, Last year the tubo went and we had to replace it. Since then there seems to be a lot more turbo lag than before. Certain roads/junctions/hills that i drive on regulaly i now have to use a gear lower than i did before. For example, in 3rd gear the turbo used to kick in between 1500 and 1800 rpm, now i have
In summary, once my 2004 Ford Focus 1.8 Tdci (100bhp) gets up to operating temperature as in the temp needle is pointing straight up there is a misfire between 2000 & 3000 rpm in any gear when you are trying to drive steadily at a constant speed.
